Brandy Bullen
Founder & CEOAs Sequoia’s Founder and CEO, Brandy is responsible for building the culture, creating the vision, and fostering the company’s success. She is passionate about creating a work environment that gives employees the freedom and responsibility to grow and achieve. With over 20 years’ experience in the biotech industry, Brandy is a trusted partner for life science organizations, providing advice, expertise, and problem-solving to teams during times of tremendous growth. She holds a Bachelor’s in Science from Radford University.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, surfing, and practicing yoga.
Dan Ramsey
EVP, East Coast OperationsDan has over 15 years of experience including various roles in operational, quality, engineering and project management/execution in support of the drug manufacturing and life sciences industries with a focus on mission-critical systems. As an owner’s representative and consultant, Dan has managed large capital construction projects, the startup, commissioning and qualification of large scale cGMP manufacturing facilities, numerous FDA responses, and the development and optimization of maintenance/calibration programs.
Dan obtained his Bachelor of Science in Engineering and his Master’s degrees from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is active in several industry professional organizations, including ISPE, PDA and AFE and has served on the Board of Directors for ISPE Boston, is a past president, and was a committee chair for ISPE International.
Kim Bennett
Chief Operating OfficerWith over 30 years of experience, Kimberly has a proven track record of creating effective business processes and fostering high-performance cultures across various industry sectors, including biotechnology, healthcare delivery, information technology (IT), and diagnostics.
At Sequoia Biotech Consulting, Kimberly serves as the Chief Operating Officer (COO), where her leadership is instrumental in driving and supporting Sequoia’s growth trajectory, ensuring scalability and consistency across the organization’s internal operations, and delivery of tailored solutions to Sequoia’s clients.
Throughout her tenure at Sequoia, Kimberly has led hundreds of highly complex, cross-functional projects offering strategic counsel to senior-level executives, implementing organizational change management methodologies, and fostering environments dedicated to operational excellence. Some of her significant contributions include overseeing the organizational change management for global business transformation programs, particularly those involving ERP implementations. Her impact extends to the effective global deployment of several enterprise programs spanning product development, project and portfolio management, learning management, advanced planning, and manufacturing execution.
She earned a MS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information and Decision Systems from San Diego State University and a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine.
In her spare time, she loves to run, spend time with her family, and passionately supports the NEGU foundation which brings smiles to the faces of kids fighting cancer.
Tom Kaylor
Chief Financial OfficerAs Sequoia’s CFO, Tom works in direct collaboration with all of the verticals and has a desire to see the whole picture beyond the financial facets of the business. Tom is a driving force in achieving both internal and external goals, including achievement of revenue, client satisfaction, future planning, and analytics.
Tom comes to us with more than 25 years’ experience building and leading organizations including over ten years within the healthcare industry. Tom operated as the CFO for The MEDLAB, American Health Associates and most recently Revecore, a private equity funded revenue cycle management company serving hospitals and health systems nationwide. Prior to his CFO roles he also held progressive financial leadership positions at Formica Corporation, Powernet Global Communications, Omnicare and Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Tom received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He currently resides in Ohio with his wife of 27 years. They share two daughters, both currently attending college, and a son who is in his senior year of high school.
Natalie Dukette
VP, OperationsAs Sequoia’s VP of Operations, Natalie is responsible for ensuring alignment across the Executive Leadership Team and organization, highlighting organizational challenges, and driving resolutions as needed. She also oversees the Internal Operations team and serves as the conduit in the organization for all projects and activities that touch Operations. Natalie holds a Bachelor’s in Economics and is currently completing her MBA.
In her spare time, she loves to cook, relax with family, and ski or hike, depending on the time of year.
Chan Lam
VP, Commercial OperationsAs Sequoia’s VP of Commercial Operations, Chan is responsible for leading business development. His experience ranges from Facilities, Manufacturing, and Process Engineering to Automation, Commissioning, and Qualification. Chan brings over 22 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology space spanning notable positions with Genentech and Bayer in Quality, Engineering and Drug Product Manufacturing. He holds a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.
In his spare time, he loves hanging out with his family and staying active by running a marathon annually.
Steve Dinka
VP, EmeritusAs Sequoia’s VP, Emeritus, Steve draws on his extensive industry experience to serve as a trusted advisor to Sequoia’s leadership team. Steve has more than 23 years’ experience in the biotech industry, and 22 years’ service in the US Army Corps of Engineers, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As part of the Genentech/Roche Global Engineering leadership team, Steve led GMP manufacturing capital projects at multiple Genentech sites around the world. He attended the University of Kentucky/Toyota Lean Executive Leadership Institute and has an ISO 9001: 2008 Lead Auditor QSA RAB license certificate. He holds his Bachelor’s in Science from the University of Michigan and his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Detroit.
When not advising his business partners, he enjoys splitting his time between from the warm Florida sunshine and the cold Michigan winters.
Teresa Henry
Sr. Director, Scientific OperationsTeresa Henry, Ph.D., serves as Senior Director, Quality & Scientific Operations. Since joining Sequoia in 2015 as a Quality Principal, she has grown our Quality and Laboratory teams through the addition of technical experts in a variety of fields while continuously providing top tier guidance and strategy to partners. Teresa came to Sequoia with over 20 years’ experience in most regulated industries (i.e., Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics, Nutraceuticals, Biologics, and Food). Her career includes Method Development and Validation, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Writing, and Stability experience, in both Sponsor and Contract Testing Organizations.
Teresa holds a Doctorate in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Illinois State University.
In her leisure hours, Teresa loves spending time with family, traveling, and taking landscape photography.
Liza Lamb
Sr. Director, Technical OperationsAs Sequoia’s Sr. Director of Technical Operations, Liza is responsible for leading the technical expertise within the organization. Liza brings over 28 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and Medical Device industries as an Engineer, Risk Management professional, and People Leader. Her experience includes notable positions with Genentech in Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Quality Engineering & Validation and Wright Medical in Validation and Quality Operations. She holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering Science from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.
In her spare time, Liza loves spending time with her family, traveling, and hiking.
Gregg Sherman
Sr. Director, QualityGregg has over 23 years of experience overseeing the development and implementation of quality processes and systems in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Gregg obtained his Bachelor of Science in Education, Training and Development, his Master’s in Business Administration, and holds professional certifications in Pharmaceutical Engineering and Project Management.
Gregg’s “glass half full” optimism is contagious. He doesn’t just focus on the end goal but also enjoys the journey by seeking to understand, observe, and listen as a preference for collaboration to drive great outcomes. In his spare time, Gregg enjoys spending time with his wife and two adult children.
